Fabricator Welder
The Company
Our client is a long-established and highly respected engineering company, known for delivering exceptional quality across a range of industries including Pharmaceutical, Food, Brewery, Architectural, and Structural sectors.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position, primarily focused on welding and fabricating bespoke, one-off items or low-volume batch work. The role involves working on pipework, vessels, and associated equipment, mainly using TIG welding on stainless steel.
While the role is predominantly workshop-based, there may be occasional site work depending on project requirements, particularly within food, brewery, and pharmaceutical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and TIG welding of stainless steel components to a high standard.
- Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Producing bespoke and low-volume fabrication work including polishing.
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Occasional on-site installation or modification work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding within a fabrication environment.
- Strong experience working with stainless steel (essential).
- Able to see a job through from start to finish and take pride in your work.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances with a high level of precision.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes and standards.
- Willingness to undertake occasional site work.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with mild steel, aluminium, brass, copper, or exotic materials.
- Background in pharma, food, or brewery environments.
- Pipefitting experience.
- Skills in polishing, sheet metalwork, or pattern development.
